The Call Series: Episode 4 Part 3 – Taking a Closer Look at Some Rural Complexes

In this part, John takes a closer look at the rural locations where the State of Arizona has located many of its prison complexes.

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR) have 14 complexes located in various parts of Arizona. These prison complexes contain at least one housing unit and many times they contain several housing units.

A prison complex will house hundreds or thousands of men and women. There is a complex administration and each housing unit has its own administration.

Understanding how and where men and women are housed throughout the stated is key to understanding the risk COVID-19 has on the prisons, the incarcerated, the staff, and the surrounding communities.
